    BENEFITS

    Battery Powered

    • The first obvious benefit of the Milwaukee Cut Off Saw MX FUEL™ is that you don’t need to rely on a constant supply of petrol. No more going for a run to the petrol station or finding a two-cycle oil to mix up to get the correct ratio. This is great, especially if you’re on a tight schedule, you can quickly connect your battery, tank, pump and get going with the job, helping you save time that you would’ve spent still starting the engine on your petrol chugging saw.

    Cutting Speed

    • The Milwaukee Cut Off Saw MX FUEL™ performance tracked the company’s expected performance. It is as fast as a conventional petrol-powered saw. This MX FUEL cut off saw delivers the power to provide a best-in-class cutting solution.  Below is Milwaukee’s expected performance from one full battery usage.
    # Cuts Material
4 Cuts through 8″/20.3cm Ductile Iron Pipe
5 Cuts through 8″/20.3cm Cast Iron Pipe
6 Feet in concrete at a depth of 5″/12.7cm
11 Cuts through 8″/20.3cm CMU Block
53 Feet in Corrugated Metal Decking
    72 Cuts in # 6 Rebar

Working In Confined Spaces Or Inside

    • When your used to cutting in small confined spaces like manholes or deep holes, a battery-powered saw doesn’t create any fumes, which can obviously be very annoying when trying to cut pipes or concrete with precision. An additional benefit is that the saw will start 100% of the time, no matter what the temperature is at the site. There was no more pulling, choking, or wasted time needed to start up the cutoff saw.

Optional Extra – Milwaukee Cut Off Saw Cart

    • This additional extra isn’t a necessity, but it definitely takes some weight off your shoulder when you’re working on paving or asphalt etc. The Milwaukee Cut Off Saw Cart is one of the best-liked features by many when combined with the Milwaukee Cut Off Saw MX FUEL™ 14. Its wheels on the bottom of the saw mean that you or your crew don’t not need to support the saw’s weight, which you typically would need to when using petrol-powered equipment. The improvement on safety and reduction of effort placed on your back is literally a ‘life-saver’.

    Battery Powered Cut Off Saw

    THE ONLY DRAWBACK

    Battery Runtime

    • While the runtime of a battery-powered piece of equipment like this Milwaukee Cut Off Saw will not match up to that of a petrol-powered cutoff saw like the Makita EK6100 Cut Off Saw, the MXF314-2CX does go toe-to-toe with power and torque. Unless you’re equipped with multiple fully charged batteries on standby, you will have issues with completing job. Nevertheless, this Milwaukee Cut Off Saw is still a powerful investment with its added convenience of instant start and no fumes, which puts it very close to some of the best petrol cut off saws.

THE BOTTOM LINE – Milwaukee Cut Off Saw MX FUEL™ 14

An investment in Milwaukee MX FUEL™ equipment is a lot of money but is it worth it? . The MXF314-2XC cut-off saw with two of the XC406 batteries and charger will run online for around £2,000. If you’re a contractor and you frequently use a cut off saw, then this purchase would be more than justified, especially when you take into account how time and cost saving it will be due to its features and performance when you’re on a site.
